THE BFFW IS IN SEARCH OF A PERMANENT HOME

The Ballet Folklorico de Fort Worth is in search of a permanent home in order to continue in its mission to spread the beauty of the Mexican culture to its diverse audiences throughout the community.  The growing demand for BFFW performances (92 last year) has also increased its necessity for rehearsal time in order to produce quality presentations.

There are approximately seventy-five (75) individuals on the BFFW waiting list hoping to join this great organization, with some having already waited for over a year.  Without its own facility in which to add additional classes, the BFFW will be forced to continue to have these children wait.  They are very anxious to become part of an organization that has such a strong commitment to preserving the traditions of its Mexican culture, promoting physical fitness, encouraging team work and building strong character.

The community has blessed BFFW with its continuous support and encouragement, so we are asking for your assistance in reaching this much desired and necessary goal.  If you or anyone you know has any suggestions or ideas as to how or where the BFFW can obtain such a facility at a very reasonable price, please contact Carmen Garcia at 817/894-2558.  We welcome the opportunity to speak with you about such an opportunity.

THE BEAUTY OF MEXICO AT THE FORT WORTH SYMPHONY CONCERTS IN THE GARDEN'S – VIVA EL MARIACHI!

The Ballet Folklorico de Fort Worth is very proud to have been part of the entertainment at the Fort Worth Symphony Concerts in the Garden's 'Viva El Mariachi!'' on Sunday, June 22nd.  This was a fantastic opportunity for BFFW to expand on its mission to encourage appreciation of the Mexican culture through music and dance.

The audience reaction was very pleasing and the dancers enjoyed the positive encouragement they received for their fantastic performance.  This will definitely go down as one of BFFW's outstanding presentations.

Thank you to the Fort Worth Symphony for allowing Ballet Folklorico de Fort Worth this unique opportunity to join with the premier musical ensemble Campanas de America in bringing the splendor of the traditional music and dances of Mexico to this outstanding event.  It was definitely a magical night for BFFW, and will be an experience for our dancers to remember for a lifetime.

Tickets can be purchased in advance from a BFFW parent, dancer or Board Member for $8.  The ticket must be presented for the breakfast buffet and in order to be eligible for door prizes.  If you would like further information, please contact Beverly Marquez-Gonzalez at 817/653-0892.
